-

This is a past event

The Centre for Scandinavian Studies and the Swedish department are co-hosting a Nordic Literature Read-Aloud - with a North-East Scotland twist! We will hear about Astrid Lindgren's much-loved character Emil and his adventures in the early 20th century Swedish countryside, when Emil invites the whole poorhouse to a party and also finds a catch in his wolf trap. We will hear the story in English, and for comparison will also hear a shorter section read out in Doric and a variety of Nordic languages. The event will take place in the Craig Suite, top floor of the Sir Duncan Rice Library.
