Biography

A highly experienced geoscientist with 35 years of petroleum industry expertise in geological interpretation, reservoir characterization, and leadership roles in exploration, appraisal, development, and production projects globally. Proficient in industry-leading software such as Petrel, Eclipse and tNav for reservoir characterization, geomodelling and simulation.

Conducting research as part of multiple energy industry consortium projects, focusing on advancing reservoir characterization and geomodelling techniques.

Collaborating with colleagues in other institutes to deliver and plan research (Manchester, Leeds, Bergen).

Providing mentorship and academic support to postgraduate students (PhD and MSc), with a particular focus on geomodelling and reservoir characterization studies.

Deepwater Reservoirs (SAFARI - WDEA Deepwater Reservoirs): Investigating reservoir performance through geomodelling and dynamic simulation. Utilizing outcrop studies to assess the influence of deepwater facies, architecture, and geometry on reservoir behaviour and production potential. Fieldwork conducted in Spain to enhance understanding of deepwater depositional systems.

Sand Injectite Research Group (SIRG): Evaluating sand injectite reservoirs and analogues through integrated outcrop and subsurface case studies to improve reservoir characterization and connectivity, supporting production and storage optimization efforts. Fieldwork conducted in the USA.

CO2 Injection Dynamic Modelling Studies: Assessing CO2 migration and long-term storage feasibility using advanced reservoir modelling and dynamic simulation techniques to support energy transition initiatives and carbon storage strategies.
