University offering fully funded online courses to help people upskill

The University of Aberdeen is offering fully funded online study opportunities to help people in the north-east of Scotland upskill and reskill.

The opportunities are being offered across 11 online courses, covering a range of subject areas and disciplines including energy, engineering, biology, maths and leadership.

The third round of courses to be offered funding for places is being provided by the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) and Scottish Government.

Applications are now open to people who are resident in Scotland and will close on Friday, 5 April.

Robin Cummins, Head of Online Education at the University of Aberdeen, said: “Successful applicants will benefit from world-leading teaching from experts across a range of disciplines, with the flexibility to enhance their current CV and job prospects while fitting study around work and home.

“Each round has proved extremely popular, with hundreds of people across the north-east benefitting from the learning opportunities on offer.

“We expect this latest phase to be just as popular and would encourage anyone who is interested in applying to do so as soon as possible before applications close on April 5.”
