Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a positive impact on our planet? Join us at the Aberdeen University Student Association’s Eco-Library Swap Shop event! Mark your calendars for February 2nd to 6th, 2026, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Sir Duncan Rice Library. This exciting event is a wonderful opportunity for students to engage in sustainable practices while refreshing their wardrobe!
What to Expect
The Eco-Library Swap Shop is a fantastic initiative designed to promote sustainability on campus. It's a simple yet effective way to recycle and reduce waste.
How to Participate
1. Donate Your Clothing: Before the event, feel free to drop off your gently used clothing in the designated donation bins located at the Aberdeen University Student Association (AUSA), Taylor Library, and Medical Library. We encourage you to donate items that are clean and in good condition.
2. Visit the Swap Shop: During the event week, swing by the Sir Duncan Rice Library between 10 AM and 4 PM. Browse through the collection of donated clothing and take home pieces that catch your eye. It's a cost-free way to update your wardrobe!
Why Participate?
Promote Sustainability: By participating in the swap shop, you're contributing to a more sustainable campus. Every item swapped is one less piece of clothing in a landfill.
Refresh Your Style: Find unique pieces to add to your wardrobe without spending a dime.
Connect with Others: Meet like-minded students who are also passionate about sustainability.
