"The Protection of Legitimate Expectations under International Law"
Dr Dirk Hanschel from the University of Aberdeeen will speak on "The Protection of Legitimate Expectations under International Law", as part of the Law School's research seminar series 2013-14.
Whilst legitimate expectations are protected in many domestic jurisdictions, it is far less well-established what role this principle might play in the international arena. Dirk Hanschel will therefore look at its various manifestations in areas such as international investment, trade, environmental and human rights law, before drawing more general conclusions to be discussed with seminar participants.
