The problems with University Direct Access service are continuing.
What is happening?
The problems with University Direct Access service are continuing. University laptops purchased before October 2015 will be unable to connect to the relevant server. Attempts at restoring this connection are ongoing.
What should you do?
We have put in place a solution for laptops that are currently on the University campus. If you are on the University campus with your laptop then please do the following:
Ensure your computer is plugged in and on mains power
Connect to the University wireless connection UOA-corporate or the wired network
Leave your laptop on for at least 30 minutes.
During the 30 minute period your laptop will update and point to a new Direct Access server.
We will provide an update as soon as we have a plan on how to recover service for staff based off campus.
