What's happening?
The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) will be at risk overnight each evening from 5pm on Monday 11th through to Thursday 14th March. Work will start from 5pm each evening and will run until 8am the next day.
What do you need to do?
If you plan to use the VDI service during these times, please make sure to save your work regularly as you may get disconnected.
We also recommend that you avoid any long overnight data processing work on the affected nights.
Why is this happening?
As with all computer software, we are required to install critical security patches. We attempted to upgrade the VDI service in late February but encountered a number of problems that unfortunately affected daytime service.
We have engaged with the software manufacturer and we are now in a position to attempt the upgrade again.
