Brief network disruptions at FH sites
What is happening?
You may experience a number of short network disruptions at the sites mentioned below on Tuesday 23 February between 6pm and 8pm. Please ensure you save your work regularly and if you experience connectivity issues please wait a few minutes and try again.
Sites and services affected by change:
- Health Sciences
- Biomedical Physics
- Telephony services
Why is this happening?
The maintenance is part of work to replace core network routers. Core routers are IT network equipment that route all the network traffic around campus. All core routers supporting the University are being replaced during the course of 2021.
NHS Computers based in the above buildings should be considered at risk during the time period. The work taking place does not directly affect the NHS network however we cannot be certain that there will be no minor impacts while work completes.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
