As part of the ongoing Data Storage project, we are now ready to migrate files and folders within shared file areas.
What is happening?
As part of the ongoing Data Storage project, we are now ready to migrate files and folders within shared file areas. This work will be ongoing over a number of weeks and we will inform you when your data is due to be migrated as dates may be subject to change.
Before migration day
We will advise you directly by email each week of which data is to be migrated and what time and date.
On migration day
- We will begin to migrate your data onto the new storage system from 6pm on the migration day.
- You must logout by 6pm for the overnight process to run. The data will be inaccessible during the evening.
- You can work offline during this time but any files stored locally should be copied back to the file storage areas after the migration.
From 8am the next day, you will need to reboot your PC and when you login you will be re-pointed to the new storage area. If you have any issues accessing your data, please contact the IT Service Desk.
