Stirlingshire Educational Trust awards small grants to current and former residents of Stirlingshire.

Description

Please note, this scholarship is only available for Aberdeen campus students.

Grant for Travel Scholarship:

Purpose - to enable the applicant to travel within the UK or abroad for purposes of an educational nature. The applicant should submit a statement of the purposes for which the journey is to be undertaken, the places to be visited and probable length of absence from home.

Special Grant:

Eligibility - Mature applicants (21 years of age of over).
Purpose- to help those who have left school without obtaining the necessary educational qualifications to enter university or an institute of further education. Grant may be payable throughout the course period on annual renewal upon receipt of evidence of
satisfactory progress.

Grant while serving apprenticeship and/or gaining practical experience of a trade, profession etc.

Eligibility

All applicants must be residents in Stirlingshire either currently or in the past for a period of at least 5 consecutive years.

Criteria

All grants are awarded based on financial needs, personal circumstances, past due diligence and attainment and likely future premise. Applicant must also certify all income from employment by the employees concerned.
