First introduced at Aberdeen in 2022, TESTA is a method of programmatic review, which maps Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs), assessment, and feedback practices across an undergraduate or postgraduate taught degree programme. Areas for enhancement and / or streamlining are identified to increase student engagement, through varied, inclusive and accessible assessment and feedback approaches. TESTA presents the opportunity to identify areas of over-assessment, which can lead to a reduction in workload and an increase in efficiency for both students and staff.
