“Maternal, Newborn and Child Health:  insights from Bangladesh, India and Malawi”

Immpact, University of Aberdeen, is organising a half day seminar to explore issues in maternal, newborn and child health in Bangladesh, Malawi and India.  A rare opportunity to meet three internationally recognised experts and to hear about the challenges they face and how these are being addressed globally and in their own countries.

Guest speakers:

12.50               Dr Kaosar Afsana, Director of Health, Nutrition and Population in Bangladesh and Professor in James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University.

13.05               Ann Phoya: Retired Head of Planning and Director of Nursing at the Ministry of Health & co-lead on a Scottish Government Project to develop a sustainable model for community midwifery services in Malawi.

13.20               Professor Dileep Mavalankar: Director of the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar, international consultant to WHO, UNICEF and the World Bank and a member of numerous scientific committees.
