Third Northern Institute of PhilosophyPublic LectureWhere does Scott Pilgrim Live?Movies, Other Media, and MetafictionProf Roy Cook, University of Minnesota We’ll examine the meta-fictional aspects of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, showing how the multi layered structure of the film – a movie about a comic about a character who lives in a video game! – illuminates the nature of storytelling. The lecture will start at 7pm, followed by a screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The event is free but booking is strongly recommended. |
