Faith, Hope, and Autism: Biblical Models of Neurodiversity
Being autistic raises lots of questions about meaning, purpose, what real inclusion would look like and how God sees it all. In this seminar, John Allister talks about his new book Faith, Hope, and Autism and unpacks the canonical reading and interdisciplinary thinking behind some of his models of how we can try to approach neurodiversity Biblically.
John Allister is the vicar of St Jude's, Nottingham, founder of Neurodiverse Church, and author of Faith, Hope, and Autism: Learning to Love Neurodiversity (Canterbury Press, 2026). He has degrees in physics and theology and lives in Nottingham with his wife, two sons, and a disobedient golden retriever.
