Researching the Early Kingdoms of Scotland
-

Following on from our talk a few years ago, Professor Gordon Noble will be holding another online event with us on Wednesday 18 October from 4pm (BST). This time he will be discussing recent work being undertaken by the University's Archaeology Department in relation to the early kingdoms of Scotland.

During the presentation, Professor Noble will outline recent work, part of the Leverhulme funded Comparative Kingship project, looking at the shadowy period between the Roman Iron Age and the early medieval period when the first kingdoms of what we now know as Scotland began to form. The project combines the limited literary sources with large-scale fieldwork projects and is shedding new light on our traditional Dark Ages.

If you would like to attend this online event please register by using the form below.

Joining information will be shared with those registered a couple of days prior to the event.
