I am a prospective student that requires a student visa
We recommend you apply as soon as possible and preferably by Sunday 1 August for September 2027 entry.
You are guaranteed an offer of accommodation in our university-managed residences if you apply for accommodation by Friday 27 August.
Once you have a Student ID you need to set up your IT account and complete multi-factor authentication from August.
You need to complete online registration from August.
Welcome Week starts on Monday 13 September. Welcome Week is all about helping you settle in and prepare for your academic and non-academic university life.
Teaching starts on Monday 20 September.
The final registration date is Monday 4 October, unless listed in the table under the section titled 'Deadline Dates'.

Accept your offer and send all required documents to the Admissions Team as soon as possible. The deadline is Sunday 12 September.

Completing registration by the deadline
*If you are an on-campus student, to complete registration by the deadline you must:
- Have carried out the online registration process
- Be in Aberdeen
- Attended an in-person visa check
- Attended any in-person classes for your programme
The University will not permit students to begin their on-campus programme studies online and will not permit you to register after the date specified for your programme.
