Below are key dates for entry for starting your studies in January 2027. You don’t need to wait until the listed dates to complete any steps, so please make sure to finish all required steps as soon as you can.

I am a prospective student that requires a student visa
The application deadline is early December (date TBC).
You may have to pay a non-refundable £3,000 deposit if you meet specific criteria. The deadline to pay your deposit is mid-December (TBC).
You are guaranteed an offer of accommodation in our university-managed residences if you apply for accommodation by the deadline of December.
Once you have a Student ID you need to set up your IT account and complete multi-factor authentication as soon as possible.
You need to complete online registration, which opens in December.
Welcome Week begins on Monday 18 January. Welcome Week is all about helping you settle in and prepare for your academic and non-academic university life.
Teaching start date is Monday 25 January.
The final registration date is TBC. Some programmes will have a separate last start date and will be advertised on this webpage in due course.

Completing registration by the deadline
*If you are an on-campus student, to complete registration by the deadline you must:
- Have carried out the online registration process
- Be in Aberdeen
- Attended an in-person visa check
- Attended any in-person classes for your programme
The University will not permit students to begin their on-campus programme studies online and will not permit you to register after the date specified for your programme.
