Pre-Sessional Academic English
These courses prepare students to improve language proficiency before starting degree programs.
Our courses help you focus on skills such as: writing structure, source material use, effective academic study, active reading and listening, seminar participation and academic presentation.
Benefits also include: removing the language requirement from your offer, preparing for university life and meeting other international students.
Academic Skills in English (ASkE)
These classes are designed for all international students who have started their degree studies.
The Language Centre offers support with both Academic Writing, and Speaking & Communication Skills. We offer general sessions as well as some sessions specifically related to your degree subject.
Evening Classes
Our Evening Classes are designed for anyone interested in learning a new language or in improving existing language skills.
Our experienced and friendly language tutors can provide language tuition for beginners through to advanced students.
The courses are open to University of Aberdeen staff, students and the general public.
Intensive Speaking & Listening Course
Dates: January & October 2024
Course Fees includes coursebook, access to additional mobile resources & tuition : £900

Please note that these courses are not assessed. You will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
