Welcome to the University of Aberdeen’s webpages for students from Spain. Here you will find all the guidance, support, and information that you need to help you make an informed decision about your study options. Students from all over Europe have been coming to Aberdeen for decades, either as full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students, or as exchange students.

The University has a student population of over 15,000, and welcomes 120 different nationalities to its campus. Over 550 undergraduate degree programmes and over 140 taught Master postgraduate programmes are available across the areas of Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, and Sciences.

Please note that students from the EU are now classed as international for the purpose of tuition fees.

New EU students arriving in the UK after 23:00 GMT on 31st December 2020 will have to apply for a Student visa in order to undertake full-time on campus studies. Part-time study is not possible on a Student visa. Students who arrived in the UK before the above deadline should apply to the EU Settlement Scheme as quickly as possible.

We do not yet know what the fee status of EU citizens with Settled or Pre-Settled Status will be. We are waiting on the Scottish government to publish the full fee legislation for September 2021. We assume that EU citizens with Settled or Pre-Settled Status will be classified as either Home (Scotland) or RUK (England, Wales, Northern Ireland) depending on their residency.
