With extensive air, rail and road connections, Aberdeen is easily reachable from anywhere within the UK, and arriving from further afield is easy thanks to the city's global travel connections.

Once you’re here, getting around is easy – the city has an excellent public transport system which runs day and night, stretching throughout Aberdeen and beyond. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of cycle and walking routes to choose from.

By Car

Park and Ride facilities are available at two sites - Bridge of Don (to the north of the city) and Kingswells (to the west of the city) and both of these are supported by a bus service (X40) that will take you directly to the campus.

By Train

Aberdeen’s railway station is centred in the heart of the city and has regular and reliable services to and from all major UK cities. Rail services connect with Aberdeen from both North and South. There are regular direct trains to London, and services from Edinburgh and Glasgow link with other mainline routes. Inverness, the scenic West Coast and the Highlands are reached northwards.

If you book in advance you can often find cheaper Advance tickets.

From the train station, you can get the number 1 or 2 First bus service to King Street; on the edge of campus. Student Ambassadors will be available to guide you both onto the bus at the train station and when you get off. Please note: First Bus require exact change for their bus fares.

Alternatively a taxi fare is approximately £7 to the University.

By Coach

There are regular coach services which connect Aberdeen with the rest of the UK. You can find competitive return fares using various Travelcard Schemes which make bus travel popular with our students.

By Air

Aberdeen International Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the UK and has excellent travel links throughout the UK, Europe and further afield. It’s just a short taxi or bus ride from the airport to the University (around 6 miles).

From Aberdeen Airport the 727 bus service runs every 10 minutes to the city centre where you can get the number 1 or 2 bus. A taxi to the University will cost approximately £15.

By Bus

Once you get here, you’ll discover Aberdeen is pretty easy to find your way around.There are plenty of quick and direct bus routes all over the city.

Stagecoach Bus

The number 60, 61, 62, 63, 67 and 68 Stagecoach buses run regularly from Union Square bus station and stop at King street next to the campus.For more information on times please visit the Stagecoach website.

First Bus

The number 1, 1A, 2, 20 and X40 First buses run every 7 minutes (or less during peak times) and go direct from various parts of the centre of town straight to the campus.
