Summary
The MSc Integrated Petroleum Geoscience programme at the University of Aberdeen is generously supported each year by a number of industry partners. This support includes scholarships to cover Home/RUK fees, but can also extend to include mentoring and/or provision of industry-based projects.
Description
Energy companies Equinor, Shell and Harbour Energy will each provide one scholarship to cover tuition fees plus a living allowance for a Home/RUK student commencing the programme in September 2024.
Eligibility
All students categorised as Home/RUK for tuition fees purposes and who have applied for admission to the MSc in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience commencing in September 2024 are eligible to apply.
Criteria
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and a passion for your chosen subject of study.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Apply for Admission to the MSc Integrated Petroleum Geoscience
Applicants must first apply for admission for the MSc Integrated Petroleum Geoscience programme, for September 2024 entry. Applications for admission must be made online at https://www.abdn.ac.uk/pgap/login.php You will need your application number in order to apply for a scholarship.
Step 2: Apply for a scholarship
Applicants categorised as Home/UK for tuition fees purposes who have applied to the MSc in Integrated Petroleum Geosciences commencing in September 2024 can apply for the scholarship by completing the scholarship application form: MSc Integrated Petroleum Geosciences Scholarship Application Form
Selection Procedure
Scholarship applicants will be shortlisted by a review panel, which will include corporate partners. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. The interview date will be confirmed in due course.
Please note that documents submitted in support of your application for admission to the MSc IPG programme, as well as documents submitted in support of your application for the scholarship, will be reviewed by University of Aberdeen staff and may also be reviewed by our industry partners during the scholarship selection process.
The scholarship application submission deadline is 3 May 2024.
