Horn Family Scholarship/ICAS Foundation programme

Summary

The scholarship is open to current third or fourth year undergraduate students studying Accountancy, Finance or Business Management (single or joint honours) who attended North East Scotland College or certain schools across Aberdeen and the wider area. Students should preferably be in third year of their undergraduate degree.

Description

The scholarship is valued at £2,000 per annum for the remaining 2 year duration of the undergraduate degree (i.e. £2,000 per annum for each of years 3 and 4). It will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic potential (although the main weighting will be on financial need).

Eligibility

As mentioned above, students should preferably be in the third year of their undergraduate degree. The scholarship is for students doing Accountancy, Finance or Business Management (single or joint honours) who attended North East Scotland College or certain schools across Aberdeen and the wider area, as follows:

Aberdeen City: Lochside Academy, Northfield Academy, St Machar Academy.

Aberdeenshire: Fraserburgh Academy, Peterhead Academy

Moray: Elgin High School

Application Procedure

To apply, please email a covering letter/personal statement on why you are interested in your degree subject area, how you meet the scholarship eligibility criteria and how the scholarship would benefit you. Please provide full details of your financial circumstances. You are encouraged to supply information relating to all sources of household income and expenditure, and you must provide supporting documentary evidence.

Please let us know if you applied to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for the full scholarship and bursary, and if so, and were successful, how much you were awarded.

You should include information about family members still in full-time education or, if mature, about any dependants. Please also let us know if you are the first generation of your immediate family ever to apply to university.
