Thesis Topic: Photographic narration in Post-war France

Supervisor: Professor Edward Welch

Educational background (BA, MA, etc.): I have completed a Bachelor in English Literature and History of Art as well as a Master in History of Contemporary Art at the University of Geneva, in Switzerland.

What are your research interests/what are you currently working on? My research focuses on French photographic itineraries to understand how they mediate collective (national) identity.

What do you do outside of academia (hobbies, personal interests, etc.)? I am trying to help organising different cultural and artistic events (festival, exhibitions, talks).

Why did you choose to study in Aberdeen? I was deeply interested to work on this topic.

What is your favourite part of studying and living in Aberdeen? It is a stimulating environment to be part of. There are many people from various backgrounds with different creative projects and ideas.

How do you think your experience in Aberdeen will prepare you for the future? It will certainly expand my horizons both personally and professionally.
