Research Overview
Since microbiology is such a diverse and interesting area it encompasses so many disciplines and makes research exciting and fascinating. As a researcher my interests cover the subjects of:
- Mycology and the fight against the human pathogen Candida albicans
- Bacteriology and the investigation of bacterial resistance to antibiotics
- Immunology with respect to the immune responses in fish
- Phycology - the study of seaweed biodiversity throughout the World.
Past Research
My previous research projects supported the Kuepper algal group and the Scottish Fish Immunology Research Group, both at the University of Aberdeen
