"I will outline a series of new metrics based on under-utilised classical ecological concepts, such as the functional response, that we have developed and ground-truthed as predictors of IAS impact. I show this can now be done reliably across taxonomic and trophic groups and can account for biotic and abiotic context dependencies. I propose that invasion science is now truly predictive and our work advances the science and management of invasive species."
