Gas Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (GIRMS)
The section has an Elementar precisION mass spectrometer with the capability of running 13C breath analysis using an iso FLOW and 13C GC-IRMS analysis using a GC-5 and Agilent 7890B GC.
This instrument can measure high levels of precision at low levels of isotopic incorporation.
Established methods are routinely used with the opportunity to develop new techniques based on research demands.
