Biography
I graduated from the University of Dundee in 1992 and spent 4 years in General Dental Practice. I then worked for 20 years in varying roles in the Public Dental Service within Grampian and developed an interest in paediatric dentistry as well as undertaking some key managerial roles. During this time I gained an MSc in Community Dental Practice from King's College London and was lead clincian for paediatric dentistry for the service.
I started working part time in Aberdeen Dental Institue in 2009 and became a full time Clinical Senior Lecturer in 2017.
I was made a fellow of the HEA in 2012 and I am currently working towards my PGCert in Clinical Education.
My interests include effective communication and treatment of the anxious child. I lead the paediatric dental teaching programme as well as being admissions lead for the Dental institute.
