Biography

An eLearning Adviser from the Centre of Academic Development with almost 20 years of experience in Higher Education.  My current role is centred around supporting the effective use of MyAberdeen (Blackboard Learn) and the dissemination of good practice, particularly for the development of online courses.  Previously, I was a Senior Educational Developer at the Robert Gordon University where I led and supported a range of different staff development oppotunities, such as PgCert “Higher Education Learning and Teaching” (a blend of face-to-face and online learning) and applications for fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  In addition, I also organised the annual “Learning and Teaching Conference” at the University.  I am very familiar with the use of other eLearning tools such as Turnitin, Question Mark Perception and Moodle in HE and am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
