About

Biography

I am a PhD candidate studying ecological connectivity for species with altitudinal movement. My work is currently focused on hummingbirds in tropical mountains, where elevation gradients form distinct habitats across relatively short distances through which animals move. I am supervised by Professor Justin Travis, Dr Isabella Capellini, Dr Lesley Lancaster, and Dr Kara Layton.

During my previous studies I have done research on different topics of animal movement ecology, including home range and territorial behaviour, foraging, the role of the landscape during long-distance migration and conservation of migratory species. I have worked mainly with birds as study systems, both in temperate and tropical ecosystems.
