Research Overview
My research explores the intersection of technology and abuse, focusing on how digital tools are weaponized in intimate relationships to facilitate coercion, surveillance, and control. I am particularly interested in understanding the lived experiences of survivors of technology-facilitated domestic violence in Scotland, highlighting the emotional and psychological impacts of digital abuse, such as entrapment, fear, and isolation. My work aims to uncover the hidden dynamics of technology-facilitated domestic violence, including how evolving technologies like social media, spyware, and smart home devices reshape power and control in abusive relationships.
