Aberdeen Environmental Arts and Humanities Network

Launched in May 2025, the Aberdeen Environmental Arts and Humanities Network brings together scholars, teachers, practitioners, and community partners who address urgent ecological questions through creative, critical, and collaborative approaches.
Our core objectives are to:
- Promote socially engaged research and creative practice in the environmental arts and humanities;
- Support curriculum development and teaching that foreground environmental issues and perspectives;
- Foster innovative collaborations across Schools and disciplines at the University of Aberdeen;
- Build connections between academic work and local, national, and international communities by facilitating partnerships with activists, artists, and educators.
Our membership is made up of academics, students, activists, and arts practitioners from across the University of Aberdeen and the wider region. We welcome enquiries. from anyone interested in joining.
