PowerPoint can be a powerful tool for creating effective presentations for assessments, conferences, meetings and more, with its suite of design and editing features for text, images and other media.

In this workshop we'll look at the main features of PowerPoint, from the basics of setting up your slides to populating them with engaging and accessible content. This hands-on session will be useful to you if you're new to using PowerPoint or need a refresher on its main features.

After the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Set up templates using Slide Master
  • Add content to slides, including text, images, video, SmartArt, charts
  • Add simple animations and transitions
  • Add presenter notes
  • Check for accessibility using the Accessibility Assistant
  • Present, save and export your slides
The workshop will include demonstration and hands-on activities so you can practice using the software, as well as time for questions with the tutor.
