Various IT Services slow and unavailable
What's happening?
All power was lost early this morning at our second data centre at Garthdee. Engineers are currently investigating the cause of the outage and working to bring affected systems back online.
Service impact
A large number of services have been identified as being impacted. This includes:
- File storage including H drives and shared folders
- Slow performance across various elements of the University website
- Business Systems including MyHR and Finance
- Online Education (on.abdn.ac.uk)
- Printing
- Internal Mailing Lists
- IT account activation
- E-payments
Other services may be running slower than normal, particularly when logging in.
You should be able to use the following services without issues:
- Teams
- SharePoint & OneDrive
- MyAberdeen
