Can ye never tell the kids

fan ye can tak them for a weekend
or a week durin the holidays,
instead ye aye say,
ah'll hae ti look at my diary
and phone ye back.
The kids they wait

then call him again.
He answered in his defence,
if you'd never left
the kids would see me plenty.
Ach stop pedalin the same ald excuse
efter 8 years am nae buyin.
But you ken ah canna
tak responsibility for kids.
