I asked ma mam, 'Can I gyang tae the fair?
'Takk yer brither wi ye.'
'An that means I winna be able tae gyang on the big rides!'
'Yer takkin him wi ye an that's that.'
'At's sae unfair. Foo can ye nae takk him?
'I've got wirk tae gyang tae.'

Sae I tuik him tae the fair.
He gaed on the rides, I gaed on the rides,
An we baith hid a gweed time.

He wis bein really gweed
Sae I gaed him a sweetie
I gaed him his favourite een
An believe me, thon's a treat!
