Description
This was a five and a half acre garden in a sylvan setting; the garden contains some fine specimens of mature copper beech and Colombian pine. On a walk through the garden, past visitors could view 14 monumental sculptures - some as much as 25 feet in height. Frank Bruce, the sculptor, has perfected his own style, which he calls, "archetypal abstractionism". His monumental works maintain and prove the figurative sculpture can and should be easily understood.

Open to God and all mankind,
Where breezes blow through salty wind,
The philosopher with a love of man
Goes onward with his driven plan.
Two chisels and two steady hands.
With surgeon stroke he cuts and shapes,
Until the form within escapes,
And there revealed for all to see
The beauty of both man and tree.

Reply to Philosopher in the Woods
With his help, who dares to cast their pearls all around.
No fear a kind and kindred Spirit comes,
and threads them all so neat
upon the velvet at his feet.
The questions are reflected now,
and answers come in that eternal sleep.
