Biography: Son of Joseph Clark; born Watten, 9 May 1885. M.A., 1910. Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, 5 June 1916; commissioned, 162 (S) Battery, October 1917. Served-Home, 1916-17; France, October 1917-January 1919. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
