Biography: Son of James Cheyne; born Aberdeen, 18 July 1891. M.A., 1912. Private, R.A.M.C., 23 December 1914. Served-Home, 1914-15; Egypt, April 1915-August 1916; Mediterranean (Hospital Ship), August-December 1916; Egypt, Palestine, December 1916-February 1919. Final rank, Sergeant.
