Biography: Son of William Carr; born Dunnottar, Mearns, 30 March 1884. U.D.A., 1913. Gunner, Royal Field Artillery (T.), October 1915; 2nd Lieutenant, 30 April 1917. Served - Home, 1½ years; France, 2 years. Final rank, Lieutenant. Military Cross. Two mentions, February, July, 1918.
