Biography: Son of John G. Brown; born Worthing, 17 February 1890. M.B., 1914. Commissioned, R.A.M.C., September 1914; attached to Rifle Brigade, Gordon Highlanders, 2nd Field Ambulance, Irish Fusiliers, Essex Regiment. Served—Home, 1914, 1915, 1917-19; France and Flanders, November 1914-June 1917. Final rank, Captain.
