Biography: Son of John Black; born Aberdeen, 1 March 1870. M.A. (I Class), 1890; M.B. (Hon. dist.), 1894. Commissioned, Indian Medical Service, 1896. Held post of Chemical Examiner to Government, Punjab, 1914; Ex¬amination of Stores, Supplies, Munitions, India, duration of war. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel.
