Biography: Son of James M. Bain; born Brechin, 29 December 1887. M.A. (II Ment.), 1909. War work - Y.M.C.A, Salonika, February-August 1917. Commissioned, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, 2 November 1917. Served - Home, 1917-18; Abroad, January 1918-November 1919. Final rank, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class.
