Biography: Son of Alexander and Margaret Milne, Skene Street, Aberdeen ; born Aberdeen, 1920 ; educated at Robert Gordon's College. On leaving school he was apprenticed with Messrs Tawse & Allan, C.E., Aberdeen, and then entered the University to take a science course. Joining the Royal Air Force in 1940, he went abroad for training and then returned to this country with his commission. He took part in several raids over Europe, and was killed on active service in February 1942.
