Biography: Son of Alexander Macdonald, C.B.E., Santiago de Chile ; born 6 April 1923; He joined the Army and attended the R.A. Cadets' course at the University in 1941. He later transferred to the Black Watch and was killed in action on the Western Front on 25 February 1945.
