Biography: Son of Benjamin Alcock; born Cruden, 2 November 1877. M.A., 1900; M.B., 1903; M.D. (Hons.), 1913. Civil Surgeon, 1/C coastguard, Kincardineshire, August 1914-March 1915. Commissioned, 2nd Highland Field Ambulance, 31 March 1915. Served - France, May-July 1915; Home, 1916-19. Final rank, Acting Major.
