Biography: Son of James Addison; born Whitehills, 16 July 1886. M.A. (II Math.), 1908; B.Sc., 1909. Commissioned, 3rd Gordon Highlanders, 10 April 1915. Served - Home, April-July 1915; France (4th Gordons), July-September 1915. Prisoner of War, Germany, 25 September 1915. Final rank, Lieutenant.
