Biography: Son of James Thomson Duncan and Elsie Ellen Duncan, 116 Leslie Terrace, Aberdeen ; born Aberdeen, 1917 ; educated at Robert Gordon's College. He was taking the medical course at the University when the war broke out. Commissioned in the Gordon Highlanders, he was early on active service. On 14 May 1941 he was reported missing and presumed killed along with his entire platoon.
