Drennan, Robert Norman

Biography: Son of the late Robert Edward Drennan, veterinary surgeon and Alice Isobel Drennan, Aberdeen ; born Aberdeen, 1921 ; educated at Aberdeen Grammar School. He went for a year to Robert Gordon's Technical College and then to the University to study engineering. In the second year of his course he volunteered for the Fleet Air Arm, was trained as a Navigator and attached to H.M.S. Furious. He was reported missing after the attack on the German battleship Tirpitz on 3 April 1944, and is presumed to have lost his life on that date.
