Biography: Son of William J. B. Moir; born Lovedale, Cape Colony, 23 June 1876. Medicine, 1896-1900. Commissioned, South African Light Horse (Reserve), 7 October 1916. Served-France, 1916-December 1918; Hospital, December 1918-March 1919; service in England, March-July 1919. Final rank, Captain. Mentioned in despatches, June 1917.
