Biography: Son of Malcolm MacRae; born Stornoway, 4 September 1883. M.A., 1906. Enlisted, 29 November 1915-Called up, 13 March 1917. Driver, 36th Reserve Battery, 6th B. Brigade, Royal Field Artillery; commissioned, 5 April 1918. Served-Home, 1917-18; France, June 1918-April 1919. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
